An ongoing investigation into the prehistory of Great Britain encompassing the stone circles, standing stones, henges, hillforts, burial chambers and barrows that scatter the countryside of these islands.

This site started in the late 1990's as an experiment in writing web pages and as an excuse to publish some pictures. Since then the Stone Circles section has grown to form the major part of the site, the other sections - Pre-Raphaelite Artwork and Celtic Artwork - have however been left here in case they are of interest to anyone.
June 2008 - I've started adding collections of photographs from various non-prehistoric places I've visited - not sure if they will stay here permanently or not yet.

Many thanks to the following for recommendations.
