Stoupe Brow is located to the northeast of Brow Moor which is itself part of the larger Fylingdales Moor area in North Yorkshire. The initial view looks over a modern walkers cairn towards Brow Moor which is an area rich in prehistoric remains, particulary carved rocks / rockart. To the north is Robin Hood's Bay and the hotel and houses of Ravenscar stand on the hilltop to the east.
