Stone 4a at NZ8281702955. This flat rock has 14-15 cups some of which form an arc curving around the left hand side of the stone while those to the right are linked or encloses by a pair of grooves. There are several other possible marks on this stone but it is difficult to say whether they are cups or more recent damage. |
Stone 4b at NZ8283002928. Possibly the fanciest carving so far discovered at Allan Tofts this sloping stone has a deep cup surrounded by three rings and an upwards sloping gutter. In the centre two or three cups are linked by a channel and a further small cup and single ring motif is located beneath the sheep droppings and skull. |
Stone 4b in its landscape setting. This is the view west from Allan Tofts looking towards High Moor and Murk Mire Moor in the distance with the valley of Murk Esk in between. |
Stone 4c at NZ8282902921. Low flat stone with a handful of cups, two linked by a short channel. |
