The site sits on Nab Ridge at the southern end of Nab End Moor with the initial view is southeast looking towards Bilsdale East Moor. The plantation of Nab Edge is due south while the transmitter on Bilsdale West Moor can be seen on the horizon just under 3km (2 miles) to the southwest. A modern walker's cairn stands to the north.
