The initial view is roughly northwest with Yellowmead Down and Sheeps Tor the raised ground to the right while Ringmoor Down and Gutter Tor stand on the horizon to the south. As the stone rings at Yellowmead are situated on a slight western slope, the complex of monuments on Ditsworthy Warren are hidden from view by the slight brow of the hill to the southeast.
