Looking northeast over the Nine Stanes recumbent stone circle
View looking northeast over the Nine Stanes recumbent stone circle which stands within the Forestry Commission owned Mulloch Wood and is easily reached via a short track from the road. The recumbent stone circle of Eslie the Greater is located 700 metres to the northwest with the ring cairn/stone circle of Eslie the Lesser standing 900 metres to the north.

View of the front of the recumbent setting. Although it stands at the south of the circle the setting is set back from the circumference of the circle itself as well as being tilted towards the southeast.
